Is it a gorilla?
I'm trying to teach Lucy a new game, to keep her happy at the dinner table. It goes like this: "I'm thinking of an animal!"
"Is it a gorilla?" she asks.
"No," I say. "It's not a zoo animal."
"Is it a baby gorilla?" she asks.
Let's try it another way. You think of an animal, I tell her.
"Okay!" she exclaims. "It's a gorilla!"
"Is it a gorilla?" she asks.
"No," I say. "It's not a zoo animal."
"Is it a baby gorilla?" she asks.

I'm getting confused. In Lucy's mind, are gorillas a good thing, a bad thing, or a scary thing?
the boys and I play a similar game. We take turns saying an animal and then one of the clues is what letter the name of the animal starts with.
Once Dylan said "I'm thinking of an animal that starts with the letter....hey mom, what does 'Elephant' start with?"
me: "E"
Dylan: "OK, I'm thinking of an animal that starts with the letter E."
me: "Is it an elephant?"
D: "YES!!"
